Application of Self-cleaning Filters in Circulating Cooling Water

Cold water circulation is a common process in industrial production. Many devices generate a lot of heat during operation, especially high-speed devices. When the temperature is too high, not only are the devices prone to aging or damage, but also materials produced may be scrapped due to abnormal conditions. Generally, impurities in circulating cooling water include dust and suspended solids from the atmosphere, oil leakage from cooling tower fans, corrosion and flaking of tower bodies, fillers, water tanks, and other structural materials entering the cold water. Sediments produced after adding chemicals during the cooling water treatment process. Sticky dirt formed by microbial growth and secretion in the system, etc.

Efficacy of Self-cleaning Filters in Treating Circulating Cooling Water

Self-cleaning filters can effectively filter impurities during operation, thereby improving the stability of the circulating water cooling system. When utilizing self-cleaning filters to treat circulating cooling water, they reduce external wastewater discharge to a certain extent, lower water pollution, and can even facilitate wastewater reuse and achieve zero discharge of the system, thereby reducing environmental pollution. At the same time, it can reduce the adhesion of deposits, reduce corrosion and sludge blockage of heat exchange pipelines, ensure that the heat exchanger of the cooling water system is always in a good working environment, greatly reducing the paralysis of the entire system caused by impurities in the circulating cooling water, and ensuring the normal operation of the system. Importantly, treating the circulating cooling water with self-cleaning filters can extend the service life of the system’s heat exchange equipment, reduce instances of corrosion or damage, and also enhance the economic benefits of enterprises.

Parameters of Our Self-cleaning Filters

The flow rate of a single device is 100-1200 cubic meters (larger flow rates can be achieved by parallel connection of multiple machines). The minimum working pressure is 0.2 MPa, the maximum working pressure is 1.6 MPa, and 2.5 MPa. The highest working temperature is 80 degrees Celsius. The filtration accuracy range of our self-cleaning equipment is 10-3000 microns. The control methods divide into pressure difference, time, and manual. The cleaning time is 10-60 seconds, the cleaning mechanism speed is 14-20 rpm, and the cleaning pressure loss is 0.1-0.6 bar.

Scope of Application of Self-cleaning Filters

Various industries utilize self-cleaning filters primarily for water purification, including industrial, agricultural, power, electronics, pharmaceuticals, food, printing and dyeing, construction, steel, metallurgy, papermaking, coal mines, swimming pools, landscaping, greening, etc. These filters are particularly valuable in microfiltration applications where stringent water quality standards are essential. The fully automatic filter performs many functions in removing impurities such as sand, clay, rust, suspended solids, algae, bio-mud, corrosion products, large molecular bacteria, organic matter, and other fine particles in water, thereby accomplishing the goal of water purification.

Our self-cleaning filters have enhanced frame structure equipment, and key parts use various safe and reliable raw materials. Compared with traditional filters, our self-cleaning filters offer higher automation, lower pressure loss, eliminate the need for manual slag removal, and provide more reliable and stable operation. The internal cavity structure of the filter conforms to hydraulic characteristics, featuring a streamlined design that reduces water flow head loss and energy consumption. Additionally, our innovative filter housing integral molding and processing technology prevent various leaks that may result from welding steel filter housings. The high-strength ductile iron material has excellent corrosion resistance and extends the service life of the product.
